The buildings at this year’s Grand National Roadster Show were filled with so many cool cars and trucks.

My Grand National Roadster Show almost ever year starts off at the NHRA Museum for the GNRS press conference.

At this year’s Grand National Roadster Show there were some wonderful contenders for this year’s Slonaker Award but there can only be one winner. That would be a 1959 Chevrolet Impala Hardtop named “Bespoke”.

Sunday night while the rain fell outside, inside the main building at the Pomona Fairplex they crowned America’s Most Beautiful Roadster. This year’s winner is Beth Meyer’s fantastic 1932 Ford Phaeton built by Roy Brizio Street Rods. This was my pick too.

Saturday was the 3rd Annual Mooneyes New Year’s Party and it was a blast.

The Holiday Motor Excursion put on by the Horseless Carriage Club of SoCal and in its 67th year the show is always a blast.

Some Friday night fun at Ruby’s Diner Whittier Trunk or Treat. Ruby’s Diner Friday night cruise runs from April to October with the last one of the season being the fantastic Halloween Trunk or Treat.

Last Saturday I headed over to San Manuel Stadium in San Bernadino, CA for Huffarama. Put on by the Dead Sleds Club to honor Bo Huff the fantastic car customizer from Utah who was also part of the club.

So much fun at this year’s RPM Nationals. Enjoy the last few racing pics from the show.

Now of course we all came out to see cars speed down the runway but we also came to hangout with friends and make new ones. This wonderful hobby that I love wouldn’t exist if not for all the wonderful people that are apart of it.

Of course, there is racing at the RPM Nationals but there is so much more going on. There is the car corral filled with cool hot rods and customs and a wonderful swap meet.

Friday afternoon and Saturday morning the hot rods roll-in for tech. They lineup to get all the safety checks before the racing begins.

I tell everyone I know who’s into old cars and digs racing about one of my favorite events, the wonderful RPM Nationals. It’s an annual event on the airstrip at Santa Margarita Ranch. It's just so cool to see these 4-bangers and flatheads scream down the airstrip with the drop of the flag.

The show was awesome. So many wonderful trucks were in the buildings and outside. It was a blast. I got to see a few new trucks I hadn’t seen before as well as a couple of debuts from friends. It was an all-around awesome show.
