A Love of Emblems

If you follow my Instagram or this blog you know I have a passion for emblems on old cars. Unlike new cars, emblems on old cars where just as much a part of the design as its curves. There was thought put into its placement, the typography, and type script used.  Sometimes they stood alone on a fender or where integrated into the molding on the vehicle. They told you what the car was hiding under its sheet metal from the classic Ford V8 to the Cadillac V16. They also told you the model as well as the manufacturer of the vehicle.By far one of my favorites is the Imperial emblem. This one is from a street spot last year.Another favorite is the Plymouth emblem on a 1961 Fury. This is from the 2014 Whittier Area Car Show. Look at the fantastic script with the sweeping "P". It so fits with the curves on the '61 Fury. Here are a few more for your enjoyment. Come back tomorrow for even more.
