Street Spot: 1970 Volvo Amazon

A regular feature here on The Daily Driver Project is the “Street Spot.” We love seeing vintage cars as daily drivers, out on the streets where they belong. When we see a vintage car worth sharing, we’ll post it as a Street Spot. Sometimes it will be a beauty, sometimes it will be a beater, but then again – even the beater cars are beautiful to us!SSIMG_2945rSSIMG_2944rSo Sara is visiting a friend in Northern California and finds this little gem on Sonoma State's campus... maybe a student's car or a professor's? Either way, it is a great find. The 1970 Volvo Amazon P122 leaned to the styling of the 50's cars. Notice the small fins. An interesting fact about Volvo, it was the first manufacturer to provide front seat belts on all of its models (both domestic and export), that was in 1959.
