Of course the RPM Nationals is about the wonderful hot rods running down the track and hangin’ out at the show but I can’t forget all the people that help put on the show and the participants that are there.

One of my favorites and always a great time the RPM Nationals. This year’s show had the largest amount of participants I had ever seen. There was so much wonderful racing.

Saturday’s RPM Nationals show is so much more than just drag racing. OK is mostly drag racing but there is a car show, a swap meet, and an all-around fantastic time.

The RPM Nationals begins on Friday with tech and everybody setting up their camps/pits.

I got a ticket! Ok, a weird way to start it off but to get into the Outriders Picnic you need to get a ticket from someone in the Outriders Car Club.

An early 5 am start for this year’s Ventura Nationals. I get up early every year to get the show participants rolling into the show.

Friday morning I headed up to Ventura, CA to check out a couple of the open houses going on during the Ventura Nationals weekend.

On Saturday, I headed to the Lions Automobilia Museum for Isky’s 103rd birthday celebration. On Wednesday, July 10th Ed turned 103. He is an icon in the automotive industry and still going strong.

Another fantastic LA Roadster Show has come and gone. It was a great time with some cool hot rods and great deals in the swapmeet area.

I headed to Roxanne’s Bar in Long Beach for the Nosed & Decked Chopped & Dropped car show on Saturday morning.

Saturday was one of my favorite shows each year, the Aces Hot Rod Resurrection put on by the Aces Car Club. This year’s show was the 20th and for the past few years, it has been Old World Village in Huntington Beach, CA.

One of my favorite buildings yearly is the Suede Palace at the Grand National Roadster Show. Traditional hot rods and customs are some of my favorite things in this car culture I love.

Now there aren’t just cool bright colors at the Mexican village there are cool colors on all the customs and hot rods at the show for the Grand National Roadster Show.

Well, it didn’t rain. Saturday was the Grand Cruise-In at the Grand National Roadster Show and for whatever reason the rain gods decided to let there not be rain.
